Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Newborn Photographer | Burgh Babies Photography | Remy’s Newborn Session and Michaela’s Maternity Shoot

Here is what happens when a doula gets a newborn photoshoot in Pittsburgh! We had the honor of capturing Michaela’s entire journey, from maternity photography session to newborn photography session. We attached a few photos below so you can see the journey. Michaela had an absolute blast, we turned up the music, did hair and makeup, and had her feeling like a million bucks!

Of course Jess and I were so excited to see her in the studio after attending her birth and capturing her birth photography as her doulas, we had the honor of capturing their first family photography session in studio! This combined her and her husband for pictures to start after we got Remy wrapped up, then we were able to jump right into the newborn photography session!

We chatted a bit about colors and props, had Michaela pick out her favorite outfits, wraps, and lovies, for a fully customized experience! Dad and Mom watched from a couch close by while our studio assistant, Victoria made them comfortable with some fresh coffee. Michaela was newly postpartum and really enjoyed the care basket with all of her postpartum essentials in our cozy powder room to freshen up!

We took breaks as needed for feeding, Remy did so well and really was loving the pro-comforting techniques that we use to soothed him.

It is always an honor to capture little ones, but when you get to capture the full journey of motherhood, it makes it extra sweet!
